New Mexico students, here is your opportunity to apply for a 2013-2014 education scholarship through the New Mexico Credit Union Education Foundation.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP?
Any New Mexico resident who is going to attend an accredited New Mexico college or university as an undergraduate student.
DOES CNM (formerly TV-I) QUALIFY AS A COLLEGE?
Yes! Any vocational, two-year or four-year college or university in New Mexico qualifies.
WHERE CAN WE GET MORE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS?
Additional copies can be obtained by reproducing the forms that you have or visiting the Credit Union Association of New Mexico Web site at www.cuanm.org, under the Resources tab.
WHERE DOES THE STUDENT SEND THE APPLICATION TO?
Do not have the student return it to the credit union. Have them mail the completed application to the NM CU Education Foundation at 4200 Wolcott Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
WHEN WILL THE SCHOLARSHIP BE AWARDED?
The scholarships will be awarded the second quarter of 2013 and mailed directly to the financial aid office at the recipient's designated school in August. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, February 22, 2013. Only completed applications post marked by Friday, February 22, 2013 will be considered.
WHAT ARE THE SCHOLARSHIPS BASED ON?
The Foundation's Board of Directors review all scholarship applications for eligibility and then base their decisions on the following criteria (not necessarily in this order): financial need, scholastic achievement, presentation, extra curricular activities/community service, and references.

2013 MANA del Norte Scholarship
I am pleased to announce that we will be awarding ten, $1,000 scholarships this year (vs. five in prior years).
Selected applicants will receive their scholarship awards and will be honored at MANA del Norte’s Scholarship Banquet, which will be held in Santa Fe on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Lodge at Santa Fe, during National Hispanic Heritage Month.Please save the date.
