New Student Orientation, Fall 2013

Join The Pack!

The UNM-Taos Fall 2013 Semester is right around the corner. For many first time students, attending college can be daunting. New students must apply for admission, request official transcripts, register for classes, consult with an advisor, and apply for financial aid. This multitude of tasks can be a complicated process for a new student!

The UNM-Taos New Student Orientation program was developed to alleviate some of the fear and mystique of the college enrollment process. This two-hour event provides students with the needed information to succeed during their transition to college and throughout the first semester.
If this is your first semester at UNM Taos, be sure to attend New Student Orientation on Friday,  August 9th from 11:30 until 2:30 pm in Padre Martinez Hall on the Klauer Campus.  UNM Taos staff, students and faculty, will answer your questions, present important information, and assist you getting set up for the fall semester.

While you are here, visit the Lobo Den! Here new students will be able to tour the campus and locate their classrooms, order their textbooks, and check on their financial aid.  There will also be representatives from local community organizations and UNM Taos Departments who provide support services to students.  Finally, throughout the event, we will be raffling prizes from our generous community supporters of UNM Taos. A cookout lunch will be provided for those who are attend.
Call 737-6512 for more information. Start the semester right---plan to attend New Student Orientation August 9th.
